Greetings and salutations, World Out There.
Not that anyone should even know this web address right now. But no matter. Hello out there, and welcome to my newly-minted, freshly-conceived, just-CSSed blog. Not that I did any CSSing yet, but hey, don't sweat the details.
This isn't my first blog, by any means; and I actually do have a personal one floating adrift somewhere in the internet. I made this page to write about things I think are beautiful. Hopefully not just things, but also ideas, maybe moments, feelings, and any combination of the above. I realise this all sounds kind of cotton-wooly, but really, I just want to accumulate posts about things I think are lovely. Interestingness, as Flickr proudly announces on their page, you know?
This is kind of like my first 'thing', I guess. It's not easy to stick it on a webpage at all, but I think writing - just writing - on my desk on a cool drizzly evening, under the butter-warmth of a tabletop lamp... how the soft blue darkness of my room at the edge of my consciousness mutes the smell of rain... it's lovely. The pool of lamp light unbroken and cool on my skin, scarcely interrupted but for the occasional murmur of cars and motors as they skitter along the glistening roads beyond quiet streets. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to stand outside and peer up at the clouds (we can't see stars here; too many city lights) and breathe and breathe and breathe.
